While Vape Expo India was originally due to open 9 and 10 September 2017, it has unfortunately been canceled. After being relocated, the Indian authorities finally decided to withdraw the authorization previously granted to the event.
While the very first edition of the Vape Expo India was to take place tomorrow and after tomorrow, everything had to be canceled because of the authorities of the country. Although this international e-cigarette exhibition was originally planned to be held in New Delhi, the government has clearly refused to allow the Vape Expo India to be held in the capital.
The organizers therefore found an alternative solution so that the event can take place, but a few days before the opening, the authorities of Greater Noida refused to host the exhibition. Yet everything was organized, the Vape Expo India was to take place at theIndian Mart Exhibition and more than 200 exhibitors were expected.
In a letter, the director of health, Padmakar Singh, stated that the event violated Articles 4 and 5 of the 2003 Law on cigarettes and other tobacco products, as well as the provisions of the 2015 Juvenile Justice Act, the Drugs Act and 1940 cosmetics and various sections of the Indian Penal Code. According to him " This event would have promoted e-cigarettes and attracted young people".
The August 31, the Ministry of Health refused to authorize this event, it's N Kumaraswamy, undersecretary of the ministry who informed " Orbis connections The organizer of the exhibition that the application was rejected.
According to an official of Orbis Connextions, this case will be brought before the court of justice and repairs will be requested.
