JERSEY: The sale of e-cigarettes will soon be banned for less than 18 years.

The island of Jersey, which is attached to the United Kingdom, has taken the decision to ban e-cigarettes for people under 18 very soon after the member states of Jersey voted overwhelmingly in favor of the change.

Jersey will therefore be on the same line as the UK, where selling to under-18s has been illegal since October. Although a public health examination in England has found that e-cigarettes are around 95% less harmful than tobacco, the law prohibiting the sale of e-cigarettes to those under the age of 18 will come into force after approval by the Privy Council. Fore sen Andrew Green: " The e-cigarettes are not without risk and contain harmful chemicals.«
