The green has finally fallen! The Marseille criminal court sentenced the two owners of the brand Kanavape Sebastien Beguerie, 33 years, and Antonin Cohen-Adad, 31 years, to fines and suspended prison.
The Marseille Criminal Court sentenced Sebastien Beguerie, 33 years, and Antonin Cohen-Adad, 31 years, to terms of eighteen and fifteen months suspended sentence and a fine of 10.000 euros each, reports Provence. The two Marseillais were prosecuted for having presented their invention, the Kanavape, an electronic cigarette allowing the consumption of cannabidiol (CBD), one of the molecules of cannabis, like a drug.
Sébastien, the technician who graduated from a master's degree in plants in Holland, and Antonin, the salesman trained in one of the largest business schools, had positioned themselves in this sector before everyone else, but an awkward interview on the “Vice” site had reacted to the order of pharmacists.
The two accomplices were eventually released for provocation with the use of narcotics but were sentenced for therapeutic claims and organized confusion. These convictions will appear on their respective criminal record and they will have to jointly pay 5.000 euros damages to the order of pharmacists.
