COVID-19: An increase in tobacco consumption during confinement!

Tobacco Free Month kicked off on November 1st and there is a lot to do to get smokers to finally quit! Indeed, it should be known that during the first confinement « A quarter of daily smokers increased their tobacco consumption" page (in French).

THE MONTH WITHOUT TOBACCO, AN IDEAL OCCASION TO QUIT!

« A quarter of daily smokers increased their tobacco consumption during confinement, according to a study by Public Health France, or five cigarettes a day more. »Declared Shona Barbette, coordinator of the Tobacco Free Month in New Aquitaine.

The meeting is particularly important this year, because the confinement represented a difficult passage for the population and in particular the smokers. With this second confinement, the risk of seeing a further increase in consumption is great but the possibility of making the transition to e-cigarettes is present! Indeed, specialized shops are open and vaping products are in the list of essential products.

To put an end to tobacco, do not hesitate to try the e-cigarette, a real alternative with reduced risks. To find out more about the Tobacco Free Month, visit the official website
