Often involved in many solidarity and eco-responsible approaches, the company The Little Vapoteur, leader of the e-cigarette in France will finally reap the fruits of its investment. How? 'Or' What ? Well simply by harvesting honey following the installation of beehives almost a year ago.
20 KG OF HONEY FOR THE FIRST HARVEST OF THE SMALL STEAM!
In August 2019, The Little Vapoteur joined Apiterra, specialist in urban beekeeping, to install three beehives on its roof in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. The aim of this initiative was to raise awareness of the essential role of bees in our ecosystem.
« This project was also part of the overall approach of the Petit Vapoteur company., Norman company of Tanguy Gréard and Olivier Dréan, created 10 years ago and specialized in the sale of e-cigarettes and e-liquid Claire Brault, communications officer, recalls: " A company already engaged in numerous actions to reduce its environmental footprint. ".
Last Wednesday was the first honey harvest " whose jars will be distributed to company employees and the most loyal customers " In total, these are more than 60 bees of the less aggressive race " Brother adam Buzzing on the roof of the company to produce an amount of honey that can go up to 40 kg.
This year was particularly favorable for the honey harvest in the northern half of France: mild winter, rain at the end of winter, many blooms from the beginning of spring with mild temperatures. Le Petit Vapoteur therefore hoped to collect around 130 90 g pots per hive.
Yet it seems that the leading vaping company in France still has to make progress in beekeeping because this first harvest of honey will only be 20 kg in the end. But we obviously congratulate the company for this eco-responsible approach!
