UNITED STATES: Michigan could ban e-cigarette sale to miners!

In the United States, Michigan and Pennsylvania are the only two states that have not yet banned the sale of e-cigarettes to minors. With a new bill, things could quickly change!

A BILL TO PROHIBIT THE SALE OF E-CIGARETTE TO MINORS!

In the United States, Michigan and Pennsylvania are the only two states that have not yet banned the sale of e-cigarettes to minors. If federal law already limits the sale of electronic cigarettes to minors, the local police can not enforce federal laws.

The representative of the State, Thomas Albert, District 86, introduced a bill that would only prohibit sales of e-cigarettes to less than 18 years. Bill 4164 would also prohibit minors from owning products of the vape.

Offenders would be guilty of an offense punishable by a fine of up to 100 $ for a first offense, 500 $ for the second offense or 2 500 $ for a third offense.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that the use of e-cigarettes among high school students has gone from 220 000 students in 2011 to 3,05 million in 2018.
