The Minister of Health, Dzulkefly Ahmad, recently said that the issue of control of the e-cigarette had been settled at a meeting. " The working group is led by Dr. Lee Boon Chye, Deputy Minister of Health, who ensures that everyone is seriously addressing this problem" , did he declare.

Speaking to reporters after launching a Smoke Free Environmental Awareness Convention, in conjunction with World 2019 Tobacco Day, the Minister of Health said that local 111 042 had been inspected from December 2018 to 2 June, including "Ops Khas" and 26 357 did not display "non-smoking" signage.

Earlier in his speech, Dzulkefly said the Ministry of Health's efforts to expand non-smoking areas should be seen as a holistic approach to instilling good practice among Malaysians.
