A new study against the e-cigarette? This research from the United States and conducted by the Pr Stanton Glantz shows that e-cigarette users are twice as likely to suffer a heart attack as non-smokers.
According to a survey conducted by researchers at the University of California (USA) among 69,452 people, the daily use of electronic cigarettes could almost double the risk of heart attack. This study also reveals that smokers who opt for both conventional cigarettes and electronic cigarettes have 5 times more heart risks than non-smokers.
« Most adults who use electronic cigarettes continue to smoke cigarettes« , said the Pr Stanton Glantz, main author of the study. " Using both products at the same time is worse than using them separately. Someone who continues to smoke every day using electronic cigarettes increases the likelihood of a heart attack five times.« He insists.
According to him the e-cigarette seems to be a scourge just like smoking, in his comment he adds: " The risk of a heart attack starts to decrease as soon as you stop smoking ”. Our study suggests it's the same when you quit e-cigarettes« .
