FRANCE AN INVOICE OF 35 BILLION EUROS FOR TOBACCO IN FRANCE.

Each year, tobacco causes about 78 000 deaths per year in France. The 15-75 years are 28,2% to smoke, and the economic impact is not negligible. At the cost of care related to the consequences of smoking - which amounts to 25,89 billion euros according to the French Observatory of Drug Addiction - add 8,6 billion euros lost production companies.This last figure, estimated by a survey of the firm IMS health for Care Labs (which produces "health checks"), represents 645 euros per smoker per year, to which are added the 1932 euros of care. That's a total of almost 35 billion euros that go up in smoke every year.
